Cities as we know today, the urban environment is designed as a separate space segregated from the natural environment. Therefore, much of the focus of designing furniture in urban environments is exclusively for human use. This research aims to design smart urban furniture with human and non-human stakeholders to promote a co-existing space.
This research investigates how we approach designing smart urban furniture considering human and non-human stakeholders to arrive at a design solution that caters for both stakeholders.
